Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
When Romeo lost his Juliet the tragedy that was their love has lasted countless generations later!
I foresee the same future may be in store for Twilight. Readers young and old have become entwined and spellbound to this modern love story with it's own dark tragic twist.

When Bella (Juliet) first encounters Edward (Romeo) the wheels of fate begin to turn. Their love is impossible. A vampire can not love a human, the most basic need of a vampire has assured that. However it seems their destiny to prove that the lion does not always eat the lamb.

So as Bella and Edward fight to be together, just as Romeo and Juliet, against impossible odds. I watch this modern tragic love story and question (their love works because death isnt the end but the beginning) does that mean that ultimate love, requiring the biggest sacrifice, is never really possible because death is the end for us?
